    The pomegranate tree is a perennial deciduous tree native to Iran, its cultivation has spread in many Arab countries due to its warmth. This tree has beautiful white and red flowers that turn into delicious fruits with a scarlet or reddish-yellow skin, the shell of this fruit contains hundreds of shiny watery red or white grains, and in each seed there is a hard or soft seed.

    Pomegranate contains a range of valuable nutritional and medical benefits because of the important nutrients it contains, and this fruit is known of sugar that exceeds those found in oranges, apricots, peaches and plums. Pomegranate can be consumed as juice or eaten fresh, climate plays a major role in the success of pomegranate cultivation as it is advisable to plant in the spring or the beginning of autumn, and to avoid planting these as seedlings in the event of storms, thunder rain and strong winds or when it is very cold in winter or heat during summer. The pomegranate tree is one of the most drought-trees, and it is irrigated once in the early winter, and a second time after the leaves come out and a third after the fruits are set, and finally it is irrigated once or twice before the fruits ripen one month.

    Fruit of this tree is one of the fruits rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, so eating it or drinking its natural juice offers many benefits, it is improve the mouth and the teeth health and pomegranate is good for oral and dental health, as its use has been shown to reduce the risk of gingivitis. And it is good for heart health because its contributes to lowering high cholesterol and preventing the oxidation of harmful cholesterol, thus protecting against vascular blockage, heart disease, and atherosclerosis. It is also rich in antioxidants that contribute to strengthening the immune system and reducing cancer, and there are many studies based on the benefits of pomegranate to fight prostate cancer. The presence of high levels of iron in pomegranate made it a contributor to the prevention of anemia caused by iron deficiency.
