The apricot tree

     It is a fruitful tree of medium size, ranging in length between 2 and 3 meters, and perennial trees of which reach more than eight meters and its leaves are heart-shaped with pointed ends. Leaves are up to 10 cm long and 3 to 4 cm wide, the apricot tree leaves fall in autumn, bloom in spring and in summer the apricot fruits ripen.



    The original home of the apricot is China, where it grew wild on th border with what is now known as Russia, its was known in China 3 thousand years before the birth of christ, then moved to other countries such as Armenia. The apricot did not enter Europe until after the birth of chrise, then its cultivation spread in most countries of the world, especially cold and moderate ones, it is wildy cultivated in the levant specifically Syria, and is famous for its feverish apricot, as well as in Turkey and the Southern high regions of Saudi Arabia and Egypt. 

Apricot fruits are grown after holding their flowers, grow very quickly and ripen in early summer as soon the weather is hot, and the fruit drops intensified between the stages of hardening and ripening and some hormones can be used as a spray when the green fruits start falling to reduce this phenomenon, Apricot fruits are good for heart and circulatory health because they contain fiber that helps reduce bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol. Eating fruits in general and apricots in particular has a significant role in reducing the incidence of age-related macular degeneration in the elderly. Also apricot have a very big role in promoting the health of the digestive system and protecting it from many problems and disorders, apricot is promote and strengthen bones health because its contains good amounts of all the minerals necessary for bones growth and protection from thinning and fragility, such as : Calcium, phosphorus,and manganese, iron and copper.
